Day 6 | Alone

Day 6 | Alone

After a night with clean sheets and warm pillows, I decided to make my way back to the trail head. Doubting with fear, I was scared to leave this tiny little cowboy town to return to the unknown. This is the first day I will be hiking alone. I'm very nervous but very anxious to get started. What a crazy feeling to be walking into the unknown. I feel a little blindfolded.

After getting started, I felt confident. I felt in my zone. Ready to get possibly 12 miles in after a late start to my day. So, I picked a camp site and took off on my way. Listened to some music, and took off into the unknown. Well, it's pretty well known.

Ran into a couple day hikers and weekend hikers. No signs of any thru-hikers, so I just kept putting one foot in front of the other, hoping I wouldn't fall off any down trees or slip on any rocks.

I made it to my camp site for the night and called it good, fell asleep right when I rolled out my sleeping bag . And of course, I'm now writing this boring blog post about a girl who hiked 12 miles by herself on a well hiked trail.

Woohoo. Haha.

Until next time,

Cheers!
