WASTING MOMENTS

By this point, we were already running. Trying to let the overwhelming light captivate us. Affected by a fluctuating moment, an open road that alters after every twist and turn, and a life thats ever-turning-  just like my footprint against this red earth and in the pouring rain.  We were not going to let the sun sink behind the silhouetted hills until we found ourselves laughing, and kicking dirt up in the air. Trying to cover up our crooked smiles and highlighted hair. Because we are inspired by some disappearing and reappearing yellow light- that doesn’t slow us down, but calls at us to keep chasing, swimming, and moving- while grabbing every hand we could find along the way. Being beacons in the night.
